His occupation was clerk at Dalgety Co. Sydney when he enlisted on 18 August 1915 in Sydney and served in C Company 35th Battallion A.I.F. His next of kin is listed as his wife Rosa Pearl Eade, living at 10 Fairmount Street, Petersham. Henry left Sydney on the 'Benalla' 1 May 1916 and arrived in France via Plymouth in November 1916. He was wounded in action on 11 March 1917 and rejoined his company a day later. Captain Henry Arthur EADE was wounded in action again on 1 April 1918 receiving gunshot wounds to the spine and abdomen. He died from these wounds at Rouen, France on 5 April 1918 age 36. |
